The name comes from being located in the old Hoses Path (“Carreira”). The 18th Century small chapel follows the canons of the churches of the Order of Capuchins, to which the chapel belonged. In the chancel, an oil painting representing the Assumption of the Virgin contours and closes the arch of the altarpiece, where the image of the Patroness is depicted, framed by the images of Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Anthony. Also to be noted is the Baroque drama of the full-sized sculpture of the Agony of Lord Jesus.
