Mission and nature

The Museum Centre of the Convent of the Paulists (Church of Saint Catherine) aims to preserve, exhibit and value the cultural assets that compose the current treasure of the parish church of Saint Catherine, as well as value and promote the public enjoyment of the church and spaces of the former Convent of the Paulists, which are currently under the jurisdiction of the parish. The collection consists mainly of objects from the old Convent of the Paulists (whose church was consecrated in 1680), in the parish of Santa Catarina (whose seat was transferred in 1835 to the Convent of the Paulists, which was later closed, since the old parish church was quite destroyed) and also See more
