The construction works of the Church of Saint Elisabeth of Portugal started in 1742, with Rococo and Neoclassical inspiration, in order to become the seat of the parish created in the previous year. In the pediment of the portico, the Patroness of the church is announced, with her image appearing in the gilded wood carved altarpiece of the chancel, with a throne topped by a sculpture group composed of an aureole and the allegoric representation of Faith and Time. The side-aisle altars show altarpieces in gilded and marble-look woodcarving with paintings.
