Dedicated in 1992, the Church of Christ the King is the seat of the parish created in 1986. Its design and the brick covering evoke the tradition of the Christian temples of the ancient Mediterranean religious centres; in the circular interior, a special impact is created by the chromatic variety of several elements. The image of Christ the King of the Universe, by Luísa Nadal Byrne, pontificates at the presbytery; the mosaic panels and the sculptures in marble with the symbols of the four evangelists are by Luiz Cunha, together with the tapestry of the presbytery; the panel of the baptistery is by Emília Nadal.
