Description
The primitive church dated back from 1342, having had several renovation works in 1572 and after the 1755 earthquake, which have only been completed in 1808. The pediment of the porch of this church of rural design depicts the attributes of the Patron saint. The renovation works that allowed its reopening for worship in 1990 could not recover the gilded wood carving and tile covering, which are now disperse in different places in Lisbon.
